The Paton-Churdan chapter of the National Honor Society inducted six new members Tuesday, Oct 24.
Sophomores, juniors and seniors are eligible for membership in NHS based on their scholarship achievement of maintaining at least a 3.0 grade point average. Eligible students must then apply for membership. Blind applications are reviewed and graded, and members are selected by a faculty committee based on the four pillars of National Honor Society – scholarship, leadership, service and character.
New members are (front, from left) Maria Tasler, Mariah Tasler and Jonathan Thede; and (back, from left) Eric Thompson, Jack Bryson and Kaleb Fisher.
Following the induction ceremony a cake reception was held in honor of the inductees and their families.
